Keesy, Kelsea and T-Swizzle (Taylor Swift)

“Well we were writing, it was me, Kelsea Ballerini and her producer Forest Glen Whitehead. We were just hanging out and having a little chat, and I said something to Kelsea, and Kelsey said…Yeah Boy! We ended up writing “Yeah Boy.”

I woke up in a cabin in Colorado about 3 years ago and Taylor Swift had tweeted a video with her and Kelsey singing “Yeah Boy”backstage at Madison Square Garden or someplace like that. She [Taylor] petitioned it [“Yeah Boy” ] to be her [Kelsea’s] next single. Thank the Lord it did go to be a single. It all kind of started right there t-swizzle wanted it to be a single.

I'm so thankful and forever grateful for Kelsey and for Taylor and everybody that took a chance on that song because it just changed my life.”

Kelsea Ballerini is signed to Black River Entertainment, and released her first album The First Time in 2015. Her second album Unapologetically was released on November 3, 2017. She received a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
